Images that correspond to "I Believe in Your Victory"

Correlation from images to music:

In the beginning of the song, the tempo of the music is at a slower pace. It sets the foundation of the music or like how a beginning of a story sets the foundation. The first picture is of a man holding a baseball glove. One of his first victories in life was being a great ball player. The color is black and white to symbolize past events. The lighting is the darkest in the first picture and then as the song picks up in tempo the pictures gain more light. I wanted to have the pictures gain more light as the song went to symbolize how the man has been able to receive more light as he has gained more victories. The last picture of the man holding the award has the brightest light and is the most exposed symbolizing by the end of the song he has gained more light in his life.
In each picture the man is holding an item representing his victories in life. The melody of the song is in a major key which helps the audience feel happiness and peace. The music notes mix well together. They are all in harmony. The harmony in the man's life has been increased by the goals he has met with the help of his family and friends. The guitar is one of the first instruments that is heard playing notes in a higher octave and then the bass guitar comes in playing a low bass line. Both guitar lines match very well. As the song plays, more instruments are added like the drums which more items are added to the man's hands.
The baseball glove, the basketball shoes, the guitar, the scriptures with the missionary tag, the money, the keys, the calculator, and the award are arranged in a sequence where the glove is the beginning and the award is the end. The man in this picture is representing my life's achievements. Hearing the song "I Believe in Your Victory" invites me to ponder about my own personal victories that I have had throughout my life. Every time I hear the song I visualize some of life's moments where I have felt much joy and peace. I played baseball and basketball when I was a child. Winning games while being on a team taught me the importance of teamwork. These pictures go along with the beginning of the song because that is when the instruments begin to work together.
Then, there is the guitar. Music has created many opportunities for me to feel victorious. The guitar is in the middle of the story because the guitar solo in the middle of the song is very important to the melody. The missionary tag and scriptures symbolize my mission experience. One of my greatest victories in life has been the mission. The picture is arranged according to the climax of the song because in the mission is where many of my "character goals" and "objectives" were met. There are more to come but in this part of the song, the volume is the loudest and there is a mix of high and low notes playing at the same time. The money is placed before the keys because money had to be saved in order to purchase the car. The keys, the calculator, and the award all represent my college life victories. Having the opportunities to transfer here to BYU, to purchase my own vehicle, and earn my first award for a short documentary have been victories that have reminded me to be grateful and recognize where the success is coming from. By this part of the song, the tempo is slowing down and the volume is decreasing. The college items are placed at this part in representing the preparation for the next song that is coming in life. It is the falling action and resolution in this song, however, it will the beginning of another song.
In Annie Dillard's article, "Seeing", the author mentions how excited she is to see and how she tries to remind herself to always keep her eyes open for upcoming beauties in the world (p. 96-109). If we don't keep our eyes open and recognize the victories that come into our lives then we might feel lost and feel we don't matter. "Finding joy in the journey" as President Uchtdorf says is important because then our victories, small or large, will be valuable to us. This song created by the band, This Will Destroy You, is inspirational and slaps their band title's name right in the face.
